Woof! Big Dog is Back.

The Big Dog, Bill Clinton, is back. I didn't know who he was last year during the campaign. He wasn't the Big Dog I knew and loved. But he's back now.... Thanks for bringing Euna Lee and Laura Ling back home. Well done, sir.

Two Loverly Ladies

My business partner Kelly just adopted this wonderful creature and named her Peggy (after his mom). Look at her! She's beautiful. Sometimes Peggy comes to the office with Kelly and the other day she was sitting in a chair looking at me. I was looking at her and she reminded me of someone. That someone is someone I dearly, dearly love. She looks like my mom, Patsy, who is a beautiful, wonderful lady. See for yourself:

Someone's a little testy....

Barney, Bush's dog, bit reporter Jonathan Decker.  Mr. Decker had to get a tetanus shot and go on antibiotics because of Barney.  You would think even if he's a Republican, Barney would be nice because he's a dog and dogs are usually better than that.  Oh Barney, you disappoint.

Guess who is getting a puppy?  That's right, those adorable O girls.  I am so excited to have this beautiful family in the White House.

The Perfect Guest

We were so lucky to have a house guest the past couple of nights.  We hosted Cooper, my stepson's miniature Australian shepherd (and one of my featured dogs), as his wife just had a beautiful baby girl named Hannah.  My dog, Charlie loved having Cooper around and they just hung out together.  

Cooper and I got to talking about politics because he knows how obsessed I am.  He cannot stand Sarah Palin as she is no friend to animals - shooting moose and caribou and hunting down wolves from a helicopter.  Cooper just can't understand that and thinks she's mean!  And scary - very scary.  Cooper's smart.

When I saw Senator Durbin introducing our next President, Barack Obama, at the Democratic Convention, he reminded me how much I love him.  He's the greatest.  He represents the people of Illinois so very well and he responds to all the emails I send him personally.

Abra Cadabra!

This dog's name is Magic. He's my intern Molly's dog. She initially named him Harold but then her mom and brother thought Magic might be a more suitable name. He's a terrier/chow chow mix and pretty laid back. The only thing that will get him going is if Molly says "Magic, where's the mail man? Go see the mail man!" Funny thing is, her family now lives in the country and there is no postal delivery. But it still gets Magic going.

This is Ramona Quimby. How sweet is she? This is a picture of her on a boat and she looks a little scared. So I wrote a song for her. It's to the tune of Eleanor Rigby. Here goes:
